Toll Rate Notices:

Homestead ORT (14).JPGThe Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is adjusting toll rates for inflation on all of its toll roads and bridges, including Florida’s Turnpike toll roads, as mandated by Florida Law (please see map below).

In 2007, Florida Statutes were amended mandating the FDOT to index toll rates on existing toll roads and bridges to the annual Consumer Price Index or similar inflation indicators no more frequently than once per year, but no less frequently than once every five years.  According to the statutes, the indexing of toll rates must occur on or before June 30, 2012.

Additional revenues collected as a result of the toll rate indexing will allow for advancement of $1.8 billion in transportation funding for widening improvements, interchanges, expansion projects and other system and safety improvements.
