The SunPass Mini is in essence a sticker tag that will work in all SunPass lanes. After being placed on a vehicle windshield it will be permanently affixed. Once removed from the windshield, it will no longer function.

The SunPass Mini's innovative technology is focused in a small microchip. Say goodbye to replacing batteries, as they are not necessary for the SunPass Mini to work properly. Since the SunPass Mini is not battery powered, there are no lights or beeps that will occur when traveling through a toll facility. Customers can always check their account balance online any time at www.SunPass.com or call the Customer Service Center at 1-888-TOLL-FLA.

Customers who purchase the new SunPass Mini and complete the registration process will receive a $4.99 credit toward their prepaid account balance, making the SunPass Mini virtually free. In completing the registration process a minimum of $10.00 must be placed on the account as a starting balance.

The current version of the SunPass transponder will continue to be sold at retail outlets after the launch of the SunPass Mini. It will work on all toll roads and most bridges throughout Florida. Customers who prefer the benefits of having SunPass portability between vehicles and sound and light recognition when traveling through a toll facility can still use and/or purchase the current SunPass transponder. Once the SunPass Mini is introduced, all SunPass transponders will require a $10.00 minimum balance placed on new accounts.

FTE gives customers the ability to determine which transponder best suits their needs and lifestyle. Keep in mind, no matter which transponder you choose, the money on SunPass prepaid accounts will roll over until used.
