Although all-electronic, no-cash tolling has been implemented on the southern 47 miles of the Turnpike in Miami, construction activities are still underway on this stretch of the road. The old tollbooths that remain are being demolished, massive overhead signs are being replaced and the pavement on various ramps is being reconstructed. Work will continue through late 2011.
