State Farm Safety Patrol
The State Farm Safety Patrol provides free roadway assistance and services to motorists, removes debris from the road and assists with incidents that stop or slow traffic. State Farm Insurance entered into a partnership with Florida's Turnpike Enterprise to promote highway safety. Each safety patrol driver:
- Has completed first aid and Automated Electronic Defibrillator (AED) training
- Is CPR and first aid certified
- Is a Flagger M.O.T. (Maintenance of Traffic)
State Farm Insurance and Florida's Turnpike Enterprise (part of the Florida Department of Transportation) are proud to offer this free service to all motorists who travel on Florida’s Turnpike and the Sawgrass Expressway.

The 14 State Farm Safety Patrol vehicles patrol the Mainline on Florida's Turnpike from the Golden Glades Toll Plaza to the intersection of Florida's Turnpike and I-75 in Wildwood, Florida, the Sawgrass Expressway and the Homestead Extension. State Farm Patrol vehicles are equipped, at a minimum, with the following equipment to assist as needed:
- Cell Phones
- First Aid Kits
- Automated Electronic Defibrillator (AED)

- 5 Gallons of Sand

What does the State Farm Safety Patrol do?
The State Farm Safety Patrol vehicles travel Florida’s Turnpike looking for stranded motorists, debris on the road, traffic accidents or other incidents. The State Farm Safety Patrol drivers assist in these situations to help motorists and ultimately keep traffic moving.
How much will this service cost motorists?
There is no charge for the service.
What services do you offer?
Some of the services offered are tire changes, cell phone calls for car service, gas and water and jump-starts.
What are your hours of operations?
The hours of operation are from 6:00AM to 10:00PM, 365 day a year.
Can I call them if I need help when I am stranded?
During operating hours, State Farm Safety Patrol drivers should be able to locate you within 15 to 30 minutes unless they are detained because of an emergency such as a crash. If you have a cell phone, you can dial * FHP for assistance. If you are stranded on the highway, move your vehicle to a safe location, stay inside your vehicle and wait for help to arrive.

Hours of Operation: 6:00AM - 10:00PM, 365 days a year. Additional hours are scheduled for holiday travel periods and special events on Florida's Turnpike and the Sawgrass Expressway.
